As a senior in high school, I created an online platform entitled ‘Listen to Black Women’ with the hopes of curating honest, holistic stories of Black womanhood by real Black women. Listen to Black Women blossomed into a multimedia brand with social, web, and podcast content spanning music, politics, education, and environment by 2020. This project propelled my love for journalism early as I consistently researched issues and achievements in Black culture daily; sourced content (current and archive) and experts & peers as needed to ensure an accurate reflection of the perspectives of Black women; designed a brand kit with logos to established brand identity; and produced social media graphics daily, editorials monthly, and podcast episodes bi-weekly based on current trends/topics related to Black women/culture.

My skills continued to develop as I matriculated through Clark Atlanta University and the University of Georgia, obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media and Master of Arts in Emerging Media, respectively. I have consistently worked with design software to create compelling, intentional digital multimedia content that educates and entertains multicultural audiences. My graduate studies widened my knowledge beyond social media into ideating, prototyping, and designing user-centric digital products such as apps and websites.
